A Resistance begins in Paris on March 30!

A resistance against the injustices in Europe will start in Paris on March 30, in front of the arch in Saint-Denis Strasbourg. Even though the French state has a legal duty to give it, the right of residence of Zehra Kurtay is being taken away from her, she will start a resistance on 30th March from 13.00 to 18.00 against this. The resistance will start on March 30 every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 13:00 to 18:00. Zehra Kurtay said  “I am not a beggar. I want what is right.” She invited all the peoples to her resistance which will begin on 30th March.

Zehra Kurtay said in a statement about her resistance action;

“Residence is a right

I am in resistance for my right to reside.

I am Zehra Kurtay

I'm from Turkey, I am a socialist, i stood against the injustice in my country and in the world,

I paid the price for it in every way.

I am a revolutionary child of the people resisting against the fascism of Turkey.

In 2007, I came to France, in 2008 I got residence with the status of political asylum.

In March 2018, my residence permit expired and I applied to the governorship with the request of renewal.

I haven't received an answer for my applications in a year.

France allowed me to reside due to the prices i had to pay because of fascism in my country, and now it uses the same reasons and my political identity as blackmail material

They won’r renew my residence permit.

But I'm not a beggar.

I want what's my right.

The right to reside is not a grace of France, it is a universal right.

The price for the right to reside has been paid historically.

I want my right to reside back.

With this request, starting from March 30, 2019 Saturday, I will being a sit-in protest

If you want to support Zehra Kurtay's resistance, you can take part in this Saturday, March 30 at 13.00, in front of the Strasbourg Saint Denis Arcade. To reach Zehra Kurtay: 0033 (0) 7 53 19 97 67. In Europe, as in Germany, Belgium and the UK, for a long time, the right to residence in France has been usurped, basic rights and freedoms are restricted, and migrants, ie political asylum rights, are to be destroyed by European countries. It is emphasized that a remedy for this is to resist. These injustices are currently being tackled by the sit-ins in Germany.
